School groups and camps

Add our unique blend of traditional stargazing and modern astronomy to your classroom or school camp. We'll work with you to tailor the experience to meet your students' learning needs and interests, from Reception to university levels.

Because it's not easy to reschedule school groups we normally offer these bookings as:

  1. Outdoors with our telescope(s) and laser pointer if it's a clear night and your school has a suitable telescope location.
If it's daytime we can safely view the Sun's features through our Solar Telescope instead, plus a telescope view of the Moon if it's visible. Large groups may be split into multiple sessions, and we recommend at least one adult supervisor per 15 students.

  2.      OR (Plan B)...
  3. Indoor presentations with our astronomy images if it's cloudy. This option gets a discount. We've got a data projector and screen if you don't have one on site.

Costs will depend on our travel distance and the number of students in your booking. Teachers and supervisors are free. Each school group and camp has been different so contact us for a quote.

A deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remaining payment can be made on the day or invoiced to your school.

We'll also need a contact mobile phone number, so that we can advise you on the day about the latest weather forecasts at your school.
Cloud Forecasting is not reliable until the actual day of your booking.

Our Working With Children Check is available upon request.
